Celebrating wins with annual team trips
Hitting big goals deserves big celebrations. Each year, when we meet our company wide budget, the entire team heads away together on our annual New Wave trip. We have travelled to New Zealand, Byron Bay, Arlie Beach and Bali, creating shared experiences that strengthen the bonds within our team. These trips are more than a reward, they are an investment in connection, morale and long term engagement.
Flexibility designed for the way people actually live
Modern workplaces need modern flexibility. Our Flexi Time model lets team members start between 7am and 9am, giving everyone more control over how they structure their workday. Earlier starts can mean earlier finishes which supports better balance, reduced stress and a healthier working rhythm.
Monthly RDOs and early Friday finishes
We know that productivity and wellbeing go hand in hand.
Our team can bank hours throughout the month and take a Friday RDO when needed. It is optional, but it is a benefit many of our people value when managing personal commitments or simply needing a break.
Alongside this, every Friday we finish at 2pm which has become part of the culture our team looks forward to each week.
Team lunches and events that keep us connected
Each month we host a full team lunch which gives everyone a chance to connect outside of day to day work.
We also come together for key events throughout the year including EOFY celebrations, Melbourne Cup and our annual Christmas party. These moments help foster collaboration, communication and a workplace that feels genuinely connected.
Supporting employee wellbeing
Once a month we bring a professional massage therapist into the office and offer massages for the whole team. During high pressure periods, these small wellbeing initiatives make a meaningful difference and reinforce that our people are our priority.
Giving back through team fundraising initiatives
Community involvement is an important part of our culture. As a team we support fundraising events such as Movember, our Annual Charity Golf Day and our Annual Charity Padel Tennis Day. These initiatives help us create positive impact while strengthening team unity.
Recognising long-term commitment, the Five Year Club
When a team member reaches five years at New Wave, they become a member of our exclusive Five Year Club. This milestone is celebrated with a team dinner, where we reflect on the contributions and loyalty of those who have grown with us over the years. As a Five Year Club member, they also gain exclusive access to special perks, such as hotel room upgrades for our staff trips, among other rewards.
