Lois Andrijich, director of Life at Work and executive HR leader at Norcliffe Group, has been recognised as one of HRD Australia’s Elite Women for 2025, cementing her reputation as a transformative force in the Australian HR industry.

With nearly two decades of experience, Andrijich has built a career on conviction, resilience, and a passion for elevating both people and business outcomes. Known for her ability to bridge the gap between strategic business needs and employee well-being, she has helped organisations, from small businesses to major mining firms, establish strong HR foundations, drive engagement, and realise measurable financial benefits. “In an HR executive capacity, the biggest challenge is ensuring that the strategic and operational value that the HR function is adding to the organisation is very clear,” said Andrijich. “It means being able to talk clearly to money you’ve saved through good management of people processes, avoiding claims, increasing productivity and engagement, and so on.”

Andrijich’s leadership is defined by her commitment to flexibility, diversity, and empowering women in the workplace. At Life at Work, she has created an all-women team and a culture that supports flexible work arrangements, resulting in high retention and a positive environment. Her innovative approach during the pandemic, creating entry-level roles to support displaced workers, demonstrates her ability to turn challenges into opportunities for growth.

A role model for aspiring HR professionals, Andrijich encourages women to “throw your hat in the ring because if you don’t try, then you’ll never know.”

Her recognition as an Elite Woman in HRD Australia’s 2025 list highlights her ongoing impact on the profession and her dedication to building inclusive, high-performing workplaces.
