Golf legend Sir Nick Faldo signs on as global ambassador for Australian-founded GOLF.AI
AI-driven platform AI Tee Times™ and new GOLF.AI Launchpad™ aim to simplify bookings and strengthen industry connections
Australian-founded tech company GOLF.AI has secured one of the sport’s most recognisable figures, Sir Nick Faldo, as the official voice and global ambassador of its new booking service AI Tee Times™.
The platform allows golfers to instantly book rounds at public and resort courses worldwide through a single point of access - whether via voice call, SMS, WhatsApp or the GOLF.AI website and app.
By removing the need to navigate multiple booking engines and inconsistent formats, AI Tee Times™ aims to modernise a part of the sport that has long frustrated players and operators alike. From first use, golfers can receive confirmations and instructions spoken in Sir Nick’s signature voice.
“AI is going to play a significant role in the future of golf,” Sir Nick said. “What excites me about AI Tee Times is that it takes away the friction. You don’t need to think about which website to visit or which app to use. You can just say, ‘Book me 18 holes in Sydney this Saturday,’ and it’s done. That’s where golf is heading, and I’m proud to be part of it.”
Technology meets credibility
Sir Nick’s appointment is a major win for the company, combining decades of broadcasting authority with a playing career that included six major championships, 30 European Tour victories, and 97 weeks ranked world number one.
GOLF.AI CEO Clive Mayhew said Sir Nick’s involvement brought both profile and trust. “Sir Nick is not only a legend on the course but one of the most trusted voices in golf broadcasting,” he said. “His support underlines our vision of making golf more accessible and connected for everyone - players, clubs and tourists.”
Benefits for clubs and operators
While the immediate appeal is obvious for players, GOLF.AI is also positioning the platform as a business tool for courses and resorts. By centralising bookings and creating a consistent data stream, the company says courses can reduce no-shows, better manage demand, and improve operational efficiency.
“Clubs spend countless hours managing fragmented bookings across different systems,” Mayhew said. “AI Tee Times brings that together in one place, saving time for staff and creating a smoother journey for customers.”
New partner hub: GOLF.AI Launchpad™
The company has also launched the GOLF.AI Launchpad™, a hub designed for course operators and industry partners. The platform provides resources, integration tools and onboarding support to help clubs connect with AI Tee Times™ and leverage the broader GOLF.AI ecosystem.
Global trend of AI in sport
The golf industry has historically been slow to adopt new technology, but AI is starting to change that. From coaching and analytics through to operations and customer service, artificial intelligence is reshaping the experience for players and venues.
With its dual focus on simplifying consumer booking and helping clubs optimise operations, GOLF.AI is betting that AI Tee Times™ will be the product to push the sport further into the digital age - with Sir Nick Faldo leading the charge as both voice and ambassador.
