WA brewer secures Perth stadium contract

Gage Roads Brewing (ASX: GRB) has reached a deal to be the exclusive supplier of beer and cider to nib Stadium for the next five years, following a competitive tender process with the Perth sporting and entertainment ground's operator VenuesWest.

Managing director John Hoedemaker said the company was proud to be awarded the contract, which will be effective as of 27 August.

"Our appointment is a ringing endorsement for the strength of our brands and the quality of our award-winning range of products," Hoedemaker said.

"This partnership presents another exciting opportunity to achieve significant exposure for the Company's brands and reinforces the 'brand-in-hand' experience that we continue to promote as part of our Proprietary Brands Strategy.

"Gage Roads will contribute to the nib stadium experience by providing high quality beer and cider, brewed locally and delivered fresh to the venue."

The stadium is home to soccer team Perth Glory and rugby union club the Western Force, the latter having already made Gage its Official Beer and Cider Partner in May. The brewer has a similar partnership as well with Cricket Victoria.

At the time of publishing GRB shares were up 4.35 per cent at $0.12.
