With Sydney recognised for its bustling business culture, dynamic startups, and bold visionaries, it’s only fitting that tonight will see us honour the young entrepreneurs whose innovative ideas and relentless drive are transforming the local scene and inspiring the next generation of leaders.
To that end, a star-studded line up of the city’s most promising business minds under 40 will convene at the Ivy Ballroom to exchange ideas, forge new connections and celebrate their remarkable journeys as entrepreneurs.
This year’s awards will see the introduction of a new category called Deep Tech, recognising entrepreneurs advancing some of the most ambitious and impactful projects focused on cutting-edge solutions. This category will celebrate those working on clean energy solutions, non-Earth imaging that allows the monitoring of space objects, cell production for vaccines and the development of cutting-edge medical devices designed to monitor stroke patients.
These innovators are pushing the boundaries in sectors critical to the future, from sustainable power innovations to life-saving health technology that redefines patient care. Each finalist will be competing for the top Young Entrepreneur of the Year prize - an honour earned in 2023 by siblings Argylica and William Conditsis, who rapidly built the thriving fashion empire BABYBOO in just a few years.
Others that have claimed the crown include AI robotics company co-founders Chris Shaw and Xavier Orr, supplements leader Izhar Bisha of EHPlabs and solar energy champions Anson Zhang and Jeff Yu of OSW. There’s no doubt that this year’s contest will be just as competitive and diverse, with each finalist bringing a unique vision that reflects Sydney's exciting startup scene.
While these young entrepreneurs are collectively driving hundreds of millions in revenue and pushing the boundaries of what's possible, the evening will not only be about accolades but also about celebrating the journey and resilience of these finalists.
More than just a showcase of individual achievements, tonight stands as a testament to the strength, creativity and determination that define the Harbour City's thriving business ecosystem.
Young Entrepreneur Awards founder Camilla Jansen says the diversity of this year's finalists showcases the breadth of innovation flourishing in Sydney.
“Their journeys remind us of the potential young leaders have to create meaningful change,” Jansen adds.
“We are proud to celebrate these trailblazers who are driving change across various sectors and inspiring others to follow their lead.”
“Without them, our business landscape would lack the vibrancy and creativity that fuels progress. Their contributions are vital to building a brighter future for our communities and the economy.”
As in previous years, the event will be supported by some of the most esteemed names in the business world. Representatives from Coraggio, RSM, EO Sydney, Fishburners, Sydney Events Studioand iVvy will be on hand to present awards throughout the evening.
