After opening 22 new studios worldwide last year and with more in the offing for the remainder of 2025, Brisbane-based Studio Pilates International has announced plans to launch in the German market, building on a European presence that is currently limited to just three locations in the UK.
Founded in 2002 by former Olympic swimmer Jade Winter and his high school sweetheart Tanya Winter, a physical therapist, the company offers its signature science-backed reformer Pilates workouts at 120 locations around the globe.
Studio Pilates' first German location will open in Wiesbaden in 2026 and will be led by franchisees Slavica and Dominik Mühl.
"Bringing Studio Pilates to Wiesbaden means more than opening doors - it's about creating a space where passion meets purpose, and every workout empowers a stronger, healthier community," says Slavica Mühl.
Studio Pilates International co-founder and CEO Jade Winter says expanding into Germany is a "powerful next step" in the company's global growth.
"Wiesbaden represents a key moment in broadening our footprint in Europe beyond existing regions, and we're thrilled to work alongside Slavica and Dominik to share our approach," he says.
The fast-growing franchise has opened six locations since April, five of which were in the US where a further two locations will be launched in September in Castle Pines, Colorado and Woodbury, Minnesota.
Over the course of 2025 and 2026 Studio Pilates International has multiple US openings planned including its first venues in Texas, Nevada and Florida.
The group also opened its first studios in Canada and California late last year - both jurisdictions with two locations now with another in the wings for California.
For the rest of the year, Studio Pilates intends to open its fourth UK and second London location at Nine Elms, another two for its sizeable New Zealand presence in Auckland and three within Australia - the company's home turf which still boasts the majority of venues.
