THE STATE Government has secured a deal with Microsoft to deliver its digital services, saving $13.7 million in administration costs over three years.
It’s the first entire government contract in Australia and will create mobility between computers and cloud-based software.
“Not only are we saving the taxpayers of Queensland millions of dollars, it’s another positive step towards simplifying IT services across government.
Walker says the transition from a government owned model to world-class solution provider will help lower costs.
“Our new partnership with the Queensland Government is a great example of a government body responding to the new world of business and digital innovation by becoming more sophisticated users of modern technology,” she says.
