Known as one of Australia’s top social media influencers, Saski Collection founder Tammy Hembrow has announced she is closing shop after almost a decade building the athleisure brand.

Founded in 2017 by Hembrow, Saski Collection sold popular activewear, including yoga shorts, sports bras, tops, tanks, and loungewear, with sales primarily driven by her massive Instagram following, which now boasts 16.8 million followers.

In an announcement on social media platform Instagram, Hembrow broke the news in a video shared on both her personal and Saski account.

At the time of writing, the Saski Instagram account has accumulated a following of 449,000 users.

“I’ve made the decision, after a lot of thought, to close Saski. This business, this brand… has been such a huge part of my life for so many years now,” Hembrow said.

“It’s taught me so much about business, about growth, about resilience, about myself. I am so grateful for every single person who has ever shopped Saski, worn Saski, come to our events or just supported [us] in any way…that support is not taken for granted.

“I feel like sometimes a chapter needs to close to make space for new growth. I’m really excited to see what’s next and I hope you guys come on that journey with me as well.”

Hembrow is also the founder of global fitness app Tammy Fit, which promotes itself as a platform that combines a personal trainer and nutritionist into one.

Founded in 2017, the platform offers 5–12-week programs, 70 individual workouts, as well as yoga and Pilates sessions. To date, the app’s Instagram profile has 408,000 followers.

Other ventures include Selfish Supps – a supplements brand co-founded by Tammy and her sisters Emilee and Amy Hembrow earlier this year.

Selfish Supps currently offers a range of powders targeting gut health, electrolytes and vegan nutrition.

Saski Collection’s website has been taken offline and Hembrow has not shared any further details about her plans following the closure.
