The City of Logan is hoping to find the next global unicorn to follow in ed-tech trailblazer Go1’s footsteps, today unveiling a program designed to help high-growth scale-ups crack the US market.
Supported the Queensland and Federal Governments, alongside Logan-based Go1, the United States Market Access Program has invited up to 10 companies to participate, with those selected to become equipped with the tools needed to take on the US.
To make it happen, the City of Logan partnered with the Los Angeles-based Network for Global for Global Innovation (NGIN), with the two to select one participating company to fly to San Francisco to begin business engagements in the US market.
The accelerator, supported by AusIndustry’s Entrepreneurs’ Programme, will kick off in August and run through to March next year.

“Access to customers all over the world is critical if we want to unlock the potential of businesses in the City of Logan,” Logan Councillor and economic development chair Jon Raven said.
“Companies such as Go1 started as four local blokes with a great idea and now they are a billion dollar global company headquartered here in Logan.
“The United States Market Access Program is about helping promising new businesses reach the next level with access to international markets.”
Companies that take part will be stationed at Logan’s coLab, which has assisted companies such as National Drones, Black Sky Aerospace and Akunah scale their businesses with customised support.
