US transformation solutions company UST has made its second Australian acquisition of 2024 after buying Sydney-based boutique customer experience (CX) and strategy consultancy Strativity Group for an undisclosed sum.

Following the purchase of Melbourne-headquartered consultancy and tech company Leonardo earlier this year, UST continues its push into the Australian market with Strativity, which was founded by Brad Meehan in 2011 and has delivered insights and solutions to companies ranging from Commsec to Royal Caribbean to the Atlanta Falcons.

Meehan, who is also the company's managing director, claims everyone at Strativity is excited to join the UST family.

"With our shared values and credentials, we intend to continue raising the bar as we combine customer strategy, research, and design advisory with domain and technical expertise to accelerate our clients' competitive and experiential edge in the ANZ region," Meehan says.

"We are thrilled to welcome the talented team from Strativity to UST. This acquisition underscores our commitment to providing our clients with innovative and impactful end-to-end solutions to their business challenges," adds UST Australia managing director Kumaran CR.

"With this acquisition, we will be able to combine customer strategy, experience design, and organisational change with our traditional strengths in enterprise architecture, product engineering, Gen AI & data services, process transformation, cybersecurity, and SaaS implementation to deliver even greater value to our clients."

Strativity's team is expected to lead the customer experience strategy and design solution offering for UST in Australia and New Zealand, bringing their expertise in strategy development, customer experience, and organisational change management.

While Strativity's website lists a team of 27 people including directors and senior staff, a spokesperson says the team comprises just 15 permanent staff across offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

"Strativity was the smallest consultancy in the world to co-publish with Harvard Business Review in 2016 due to its thought leadership in the areas of customer centricity and disruptive innovation, and was recognised by Forrester Research in 2019 as the leading boutique customer strategy consultancy in the world," the UST spokesperson says.

"The firm is proud to support a wide range of clients that includes the Big 4 banks, major industrials and digital-first businesses."
