IT MAY be cool by the sea at Redcliffe, however strong sales at Kyko Group's Mon Komo development prove that the area has also become a residential hotspot.
Within only two months of announcing its campaign, Mon Komo, situated on Redcliffe's Marine Parade, has made $7.9 million in sales and only a handful of its apartments remain on the market.
Marketing manager Adrian Parsons says the sheer volume of sales at Mon Komo to a diverse range of buyers shows Redcliffe is a fast-growing investment hub.
"The fact that Mon Komo has recorded 12 apartment sales in two months, including the sale of the final luxury penthouse, is indicative of the continued growth in demand for Redcliffe real estate following the recent completion of the rail link connecting Redcliffe to Brisbane's CBD," says Parsons.
"Mon Komo's final penthouse sold with a number of buyers competing for the property, showing strong demand for Redcliffe's luxury real estate market."
The sale of the penthouse came down to three separate offers, which included two offers from Brisbane-based buyers seeking a luxury sea change which offered a more relaxed lifestyle.
Parsons says the sale is indicative of a growing trend toward ditching the hustle and bustle of big city life in favour of something more relaxed.
"We have observed a growing trend in the number of city dwellers from both Sydney and Brisbane looking to purchase apartments at Mon Komo and make the sea change to Redcliffe," says Parsons.
"With high demand for the Redcliffe market and buyers seeking luxury ocean front living opportunities, it is little surprise that Mon Komo has attracted considerable attention from a range of buyers across the country."
Mon Komo developer and Kyko Group director Bill Jenkings says it was only a matter of time before buyers around Australia cast their eyes on Redcliffe.
"We have always seen the potential for the Redcliffe market to generate national appeal, and we are now seeing this potential being fulfilled with the rapid sell out of our residential tower to buyers spread out across the country."
