Superior berths in Seoul

GOLD Coast commercial and residential berthing manufacturer Superior Jetties has teamed up with a Korean company to build a marina berth in Seoul.

The company is working with Korean dealer HY Kim to construct a 65-berth marina on the Han River. The project is part of a consortium led by Seung Hwa Engineering and Construction, following Superior Jetties’ success at the Korean Boat Show.

The project also includes a floating marina club in downtown Seoul, next to Parliament House. The civil construction for the development is already well under way, with the marina to be built in early 2010.

“The marine industry is under a lot of pressure right now, so it gives me great confidence in our team and products that we have secured this project, not to mention the great efforts of HY Kim in securing the deal,” says Superior Jetties boss John Hogan.

“The support of the state and federal governments and leading marine industry bodies has also been instrumental in securing this deal, so were very appreciative of their support too. This project is a real shot in the arm for the Korean marine industry.”
