ROYAL PINES SWEEPS AWARDS

RACV Royal Pines Resort has taken home a swag of awards at the Queensland Hotel Association Awards for Excellence in Brisbane last week.

The tourism operator was awarded best redeveloped accommodation, best functions/operations facility, best environmental practice and best restaurant for Videre.

The 2014 awards received more than 300 nominations from hotels across Queensland, with a panel of judges selecting finalists for each category.

RACV Queensland Resorts general manager John Morris (pictured right) says the result is a testament to the team’s investment in the facility during the last three years.

“It is extraordinary for one resort to win four categories,” Morris says.

“We provide ourselves on the quality of our product and service and it is particularly pleasing that we have won awards across multiple award categories.

“We have opened first-class health and well-being facilities and the resort’s extensive new conference and event facilities have been heavily utilised since opening in April.”

Morris says the staff were pleased to receive recognition for implementing proactive environmental programs, as well as their service standards.

The success follows the resort’s recent win at the Gold Coast Business Excellence awards last month.
