THE Australian Institute of Management is hosting an event featuring keynote speaker Phillip Di Bella.
Di Bella will tell how he got to where he is today on the back of hard work, passion for service quality and a keen eye for expansion and diversification in business.
As a young man, Di Bella’s goal was to be a millionaire by 30 and have enough money to fulfil his desires for his business. He achieved it by 28. Di Bella has a compelling story and an important message for young managers and emerging entrepreneurs who dream big.
But the Di Bella story is a complex one … he was biding his time and honing his skills in a hostile work environment for nearly 10 years before he even started his business, and worked tirelessly make that business work.
Learning from his negative experiences, he vowed to treat his staff much better than he had been treated and resolved to share his passion with coffee lovers, and these have proved to be key elements to his success.
Di Bella Coffee is Australia’s fastest growing coffee company and has been for a number of years, being established in 2002 and making the BRW Fast 100 list in both 2006 and 2007.
This year, Di Bella launched his book, Roasted Passion, a detailed account of his journey and a tell-all tale of how a young entrepreneur became wildly successful in the highly cluttered and competitive coffee industry.
The presentation will take place on September 1 at the AIM Management House. More info at: www.aimevents.com.au.
