POOLWERX has finalised its next round of acquisitions in the United States, purchasing three businesses in California, Arizona and Florida.
SC Pool & Spa Works, Crystal Tech Pools and Citrus Pool Services will grow the Poolwerx USA portfolio to 2 retail stores, a warehouse operation and 40 more mobile service and maintenance units.
Founder and CEO John O'Brien (pictured) says this is the ideal next step for the business in its USA aggregation strategy, which only began 6 months ago.
The business has been franchising in Australia for two decades.
"This is the perfect addition to our USA footprint as it enhances our presence of our existing 15 stores and 9 mobile units in Arizona, and offers us two other great foundations in the American Sunbelt region with California and Florida," says O'Brien.
"This sets us well on the path for our franchise development targets.
"I certainly feel a bit like a kid in a candy store. The American industry has embraced our vision of organising the category through our franchise business model, and we have some incredible supporters."
