NEW CONSTRUCTION BOSS TO BUILD ON STABILITY

NEW CONSTRUCTION BOSS TO BUILD ON STABILITY

ASX-LISTED Seymour Whyte (SWL) today confirmed it had appointed David McAdam (pictured) as its new chief executive officer.

McAdam has 30 years of project experience in resources, food, transport infrastructure, property and utilities.

The 51-year-old comes to SWL, a West End-based civil construction firm, from Kenmore-based International Project Advisory Services.

“I would like to stabilise and grow the business – and position it where it needs to be,” he says.

SWL chairman Mac Drysdale says McAdam has a “deep understanding’’ of engineering, construction and service organisations.

“David’s reputation for strong and principle-based safety leadership, coupled with a proven record of sound fiscal control and business growth, will ensure the continued growth and success of SWL,” he says.

McAdam replaces managing director Brian Riggall who resigned in April. Deputy CEO Rob Leacock will continue acting as CEO until McAdam commences work on July 23.
