PETER Richie will be guest speaker at the upcoming Leaders’ Edge Luncheon, hosted by the Australian Institute of Company Directors. The luncheon series provides members and the Queensland business community with the opportunity to hear from speakers of national and international standing to share their experience and knowledge.
The topic of this month’s luncheon will be Lessons Learnt in Building a Corporate Success Story. Ritchie will present on the ‘secrets of McDonald’s success’. He has strong views as to what these secrets are and believes they are readily translatable to other businesses. He plans to inter-weave the McDonald’s story with anecdotes from his role as a non-executive director and comment upon the current landscape for business in Australia.
Ritchie spent 32 years as the chief executive and chairman of McDonald’s Australia including spending time on the parent company board in the USA. He has also had extensive experience as a non-executive director of publicly listed companies in Australia. He is currently the deputy chairman of the Seven Network, chairman of Mortgage Choice and chairman of Reverse Corp.
The event will take place on July 30, at the Hilton Brisbane Hotel. More info at: www.companydirectors.com.au.
