Award-winning Bakers Club has launched its latest store at Robina Town Centre with plans to resonate the success of its already well established brand. The relatively new company boasts a total of five stores, two of which are franchisee owned.
BAKERS Club has the recipe for success just right using traditional methods to deliver every day bakery products. While other businesses are struggling to stay afloat in turbulent times Christian Coenen, the baker behind the business, says instead of flopping, the business of baking is rising.
But it’s no secret recipe according to Coenen. The company is built on the solid foundations of more than 150 years and six generations of European baking tradition boasting a unique business concept in a competitive baking sector.
Bakers Club utilises a different baking process eliminating the need for night banking; thus eliminating the need for bakers’ hours which often places stress on baking business owners.
“Our bread is the freshest bread available as we bake all through the day, in the certified stone oven in the front of our store,” explains Coenen.
“This means you can come into our stores in the afternoon and still find us baking with hot bread coming out of our oven. The stone oven also gives a slower cooking which results in lovely light, crispy crusts.
“All our breads are made with all the natural goodness of traditional ingredients, including wholegrains and sourdoughs, are preservative free, full of flavour, delicious and healthy.
“We are the only bakery in Australia which is able to bake fresh gluten-free bread daily in our ovens in front of your eyes.”
Bakers Club started three years ago with their first store at Ashmore. Since then it has grown to five stores located in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast. The business concept combines the daily visit pattern of a retail bakery with the less regular but higher spend per visit of a café restaurant; a concept which has been successful for the model.
Bakers Club took out the Gold Coast Business Excellence Award for retail, wholesale and distribution in May - demonstrating the company’s contribution to the coast’s thriving franchise industry.
