Jupiters takes out national events award

MAY 2010

Jupiters Hotel and Casino has taken home the top gong at the National MEA (Meetings and Events Australia) Awards presented in Melbourne.

The hotel-casino property was named ‘Best Venue with Accommodation’ in Australia at the national awards, which are designed to recognise outstanding performance in the Australian meetings and events industry.

Jupiters managing director Stuart Wing, says it was an honour to be recognised as a premier venue in the country by the industry’s peak body.

“The award win is an outstanding achievement and demonstrates that Jupiters continues to set benchmarks in a highly competitive industry,” he says.

“We entered this category because it really encompasses the entire experience our business tourism guests enjoy at Jupiters.

“From the moment guests arrive our team delivers a consistently high level of service across every touch point including events, hotel, food and beverage and security just to name a few. For this reason the award win is a true credit to the entire Jupiters team.”

The win comes only months after the largest rebrand in the venue’s 25-year history – dropping the worldwide Conrad brand from the hotel and casino’s name.

The expiration of the contract with the Hilton-brand created an opportunity for the recent formalisation of a new partnership with Worldhotels – a collection of the world’s best independent hotels.
