GAS GREEN-TEAM TAKE ON LOGAN

APA Natural Gas has teamed up with Lend Lease to drive the development of sustainable energy resources for the Yarrabilba community in Logan City.

One of the primary goals for the partnership is to ensure all residents in Yarrabilba have access to natural gas, and to ultimately transform the suburb into an eco-friendly one as the residential and industry sectors continue to grow.

APA Natural Gas head of Queensland capital works Anthony Cronin says the variety of benefits that natural gas provides will be fully enjoyed by the community, and that the outcomes of the partnership will help uphold best practices in green living.

“APA and Lend Lease have worked closely on planning and building the infrastructure to ensure all households in the Yarrabilba community have access to reticulated natural gas,” says Cronin.

“Residents will lower their carbon footprint and enhance their lifestyle all at once.”

Natural gas emits less than half the carbon dioxide of regular gas and its use, production and export in Australia is expected to increase by 33 per cent over the next 20 years.
