Catering kings

MORRIS Corporation is an industrial catering and facility management provider with major projects across Australia, Papua New Guinea and the Middle East.

The company has built its success on diversifying its services to include laundry, house-keeping and catering services to building maintenance, warehousing and security services.

With products extending as far as airport management, local projects are primarily for civil construction and its clients reach mining industries including the management of Cloudbreak Village for Fortescue’s Metal Group in Pilbara Western Australia.

The company has also boosted export revenues with contracts including working directly for the US military in Iraq.

Morris Corporation CEO Fiona Berkin, says while last year’s revenue ‘could have been better’ annual revenue was up 30 per cent on the previous year with 70 per cent jump in profit.

“In a way we have been unscathed by the current economic climate because we give our clients the ability to exchange multiple contractors for a single facility management provider who can service all their needs,” she says.

Berkin says Morris Corporation will continue to expand into the future by moving away from contracting to launch its own building and management services for onsite industrial villages.
