BHP EXTENDS ALLIANCE CONTRACT

BHP EXTENDS ALLIANCE CONTRACT

ALLIANCE Aviation Services (ASX: AQZ) and BHP Billiton Nickel West have fortified their relationship with a three-year initial term contract revival announced today.

The contract will involve a combination of Fokker 100 and Fokker 70 aircraft to support 17 weekly return regional services in Western Australia for Nickel West Operations.

This will assist in the company’s fly-in, fly-out strategy supporting the mining and energy sector between Perth and Mt Keith and Leinster.

AQZ managing director Scott McMillan says the contract is the product of a successful long-standing between the companies.

“The contract is a reflection of the flexibility that Alliance is able to offer our customers with its product offering and fleet capability.”

The contract highlights partnership satisfaction, with the existing contract between the companies effective from 2006 scheduled to expire in November 2014.
