Beemer ball raises $150,000

THE 10th anniversary Bruce Lynton Charity Ball has been hailed a success after more than $150,000 was raised for various charities.

Bruce Lynton marketing manager Simone Hesketh, says the event’s grand auction alone raised more than $40,000 and while the highest bid was $8000 for a 20 person Hunter Valley getaway, some of the most popular items were those that ‘money can’t buy’.

“A State of Origin sideline commentary experience with the Nine Network was one of the more interesting auctions – eventually going under the hammer for $6000,” she says.

“Other items included a trip for two to France that went for $7000, a Sunday at the stables with Gaye Waterhouse that sold for $3000 and; as one of our 200 plus silent auctions, a genuine Louis Vuitton handbag that sold for $3000.”
